FIELDWORK
An independent print and experiential publishing project, ongoing. A newspaper made to be kept — editorial attention that asks something of the reader and gives something back.
"Any sense of the extraordinary is grounded first of all in ordinary experience." — Richard Quinney, For the Time Being: Ethnography of Everyday Life
This is what I do between assignments, and sometimes instead of them: find people worth spending time with, then build the conditions for their stories to be told properly. FieldWork is that practice made visible.
HANDS TOUCHING EARTH
Issue 2 is out, and it coincides with the opening of the FieldWork Trading Post at Cornwall Market in Cornwall Bridge, CT. What this issue is about, and why it had to start where it did, is up on Substack.
FieldWork is open — to editorial contributors, to partners, to anyone who wants to carry it, sponsor it, or build a Trading Post into their own space. The shape depends on the room and what you're after. There's a path for most of it.
